With a combined 20 years of experience in film and television production, our two-person team has the on-set knowledge necessary to work effectively alongside your core creative team.
Chuck Taylor has been a working professional Director of Photography for the past 9 years on a wide-range of productions in both film and television, and was a winner at the 2008 Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) awards. Knowing and understanding the importance of great lighting, proper framing, and smooth camera movement, Taylor is an invaluable on-set resource. As a pilot of remote-controlled aircraft, Taylor has done it all - taking off from small to big boats, flat to rocky ground, ice to sand.
Gabrielle Nadeau is a rich resource of artistic and technical know-how. Starting in the film and television industry as a technician for both the electric and grip departments, she quickly learned to troubleshoot technical challenges on set and be a great team player. In the past, Gabrielle has led her own production company, directing a wide-range of material including, commercials, corporate videos, short films and 3D animations. With her keen sense for great storytelling, Gabrielle ensures that SkyMotion Video gets the right images for the right message.
Video equipment is expensive, and lives are irreplaceable. At SkyMotion Video we take safety very seriously. To keep pace with our clients’ visions, our team is routinely training and has received certification from the following organizations:
SFOC Permitted Nationwide by Transport Canada
We hold SFOC permits for every region in the country to operate drones in both controlled and uncontrolled airspace.
IAA (Irish Aviation Authority) Certification
Live flight tests have been completed with the Irish Aviation Authority, and certification has been given to operate throughout Ireland.
CCUVS Certified UAS Operators
We hold Civil and Commercial Unmanned Aerial Systems Safety Training Certificates from the Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems (CCUVS) in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Industry Canada Licensed Operators
We hold Industry Canada Restricted Operator Certificates with Aeronautical Qualification (ROC-A). ROC-A will soon become a regulatory requirement for anyone flying remotely operated aircraft and helicopters for commercial purposes in Canadian airspace. This regulation is intended to address collision avoidance concerns between Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) and other aircraft.

We hold Safety and Operator Training Certificates from Colena Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
SkyMotion Video is fully insured for aerial operations worldwide, and has obtained SFOC permits for all provinces of Canada. For more information check out our Regulations Page.
